2024-12-25

On September 24, Yuanhe Chencun hosted the Kunpeng Gathering, bringing together Liu Zefeng, General Manager of Aerospace Feipeng; Xie Ling, Founder and CEO of YuFeng Future; Dai Yu, Deputy General Manager and Chief Designer at Dianshi Aviation; Cong Zhen, Founding Managing Partner at Tianshan Capital; and Wei Bin, Partner at Woyan Capital, to discuss the development of the low-altitude economy industry and explore new growth opportunities for the sector.

As a burgeoning industry in China, the low-altitude economy has seen remarkable growth potential and promising market prospects in recent years, thanks to supportive policies and advancements in technology. According to estimates from the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the low-altitude economy is projected to reach a market size of 1.5 trillion yuan by 2025—and could even soar to 3.5 trillion yuan by 2035.

The low-altitude economy encompasses not only the research, development, and manufacturing of drones and electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles (eVTOLs), but also spans multiple sectors such as low-altitude flight services and aviation logistics. Its applications include, but are not limited to, agricultural pest control, logistics delivery, emergency rescue, and tourism—among other areas.

China's government has placed great emphasis on the development of the low-altitude economy, which was officially included in the Government Work Report for the first time in 2024. The report highlighted the initiative to build a new engine for economic growth, while local governments have actively promoted the growth of the low-altitude economy through a series of supportive policies, fostering the emergence and advancement of low-altitude economic industry clusters. On September 24, Yuanhe Chencun hosted the Kunpeng Hui, inviting Liu Zefeng, General Manager of Aerospace Feipeng; Xie Ling, Founder and CEO of Yufeng Future; Dai Yu, Deputy General Manager and Chief Designer of Dianshi Aviation; Cong Zhen, Founding Managing Partner of Tianshan Capital; and Wei Bin, Partner at Woyan Capital, to discuss the development of the low-altitude economy industry and explore new growth opportunities for the sector.
