On September 14, 2021, Zhenhua New Material, a portfolio company of the sub-fund invested in by the master fund managed by Yuanhe Chencun—Qingyu Fund—successfully launched on the STAR Market of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, with stock code: 688707.

Zhenhua New Material, established in April 2004, is a specialized enterprise under China Electronics Information Industry Group Co., Ltd. (CEC), dedicated to the research, development, production, and sales of lithium-ion battery materials. The company primarily supplies ternary cathode materials, lithium cobalt oxide, and advanced composite ternary materials—key components used in new-energy vehicles and consumer electronics. As of March 31, 2021, Zhenhua New Material had already built a production line capable of annually manufacturing 37,000 tons of cathode materials, placing its production capacity among the leading players in the domestic industry.

Zhenhua New Material was among the first in the industry to develop and mass-produce a single-crystal, large-particle ternary cathode material. The company has introduced entirely new technical approaches and directions aimed at enhancing the structural stability of these materials, gradually refining and completing a comprehensive range of material systems—all of which have now been successfully commercialized. Leveraging over a decade of independently developed core technologies and advanced production processes, Zhenhua New Material has so far been granted 15 authorized invention patents (including 14 domestic and 1 international invention patent) as well as 1 utility model patent.

After more than a decade of production experience and technological innovation, the company now boasts core technologies such as the synthesis of primary large-grain single-crystal nickel-cobalt-manganese ternary materials, the synthesis of large-grain cobalt-free layered-structure nickel-manganese binary materials, high-voltage lithium cobalt oxide material synthesis, polycrystalline nickel-cobalt-manganese ternary cathode material synthesis, spinel-structured composite-modified material synthesis, cathode material doping techniques, and cathode material surface modification technologies—several of which have already been successfully converted into invention patents.
